Small-run homeware · Dublin

Things made slowly. Kept for longer.

Blankets, linen, ceramics and kitchen things made in small runs by four workshops we know by name.

The shop

For the bed, the table, and the hour between.

Every piece names its workshop, and every product page shows the maker price: what we paid that workshop for the piece.

These are the dates the workshops are working towards. Dates slip; when they move, we update them here.

The question behind the shop.

In 2019 I spent four months trying to buy a lambswool blanket — just one where I could find out what it weighed, where it was woven and why it cost what it cost.
I could not, from anybody, at any price.
Everything Loomfield has done since is an attempt not to become the shop I could not find. That is why the maker's price is on every product page.
If we cannot say who made it and what we paid them, we should not be selling it.

The workshops

Four workshops. Every one named.

The hands change the object. That is not variation to hide; it is the reason to know who made it.

How pricing works

One price, said plainly.

The maker price is what Loomfield paid the workshop for that piece. It appears on every product page beside the workshop's name. We price a piece once and leave it. There are no sales.

We price each piece once and leave it. A discount comes either from a price that was too high, or from a workshop being asked to absorb it. No sale periods and no discount codes.
