Privacy notice

What the club keeps when you sign up or join, and what it never does with it.

This notice explains what personal information Ashmere Rowing Club collects through this website and its membership, and what happens to it. Last updated: 1 October 2026. All names and addresses on this page are sample details.

Who we are

Ashmere Rowing Club, The Boathouse, Mill Lane, Ashmere, is a members' club run by an elected committee. Write to privacy@ashmererowing.example about anything on this page.

What we collect

  • Sign-ups: your name, email, phone number if you give it, what you would like to do, whether you have rowed and whether you can swim

  • Members: your membership type, payments, the sessions you book on the crew board, and an emergency contact

  • Juniors: the details above for the junior and for the parent or carer who signs them up

  • Members' area: the email and password of your account, so that only members read the noticeboard

  • Website use: anonymous, aggregated statistics, with no advertising cookies and no tracking across other sites

How long we keep it

Sign-ups that do not lead to membership are deleted after a year. Membership records are kept while you are a member and for six years after, because the accounts require it.

What we do not do

We do not sell or share your details, we do not send news you did not ask for, and we never publish a member's photograph or name without agreement — for juniors, the agreement of a parent or carer.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data by writing to privacy@ashmererowing.example. You can also complain to the data protection authority.
