Privacy policy

How Brightpath Academy collects, uses and protects your personal data. Last updated September 1, 2026.

Brightpath Academy GmbH, Lindenstraße 48, 10969 Berlin, Germany ("Brightpath", "we") is responsible for the processing of personal data on this website and in our courses. You can reach our data protection contact at privacy@brightpath.example.

What we collect

  • Account and enrolment details: name, email address, billing address and the courses you join.

  • Learning data: attendance, submitted projects and the feedback you receive.

  • Messages you send us through the admissions form or by email.

  • Technical data: IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected in anonymised form.

Please do not send us anything about your health or card details through the form — admissions does not need them.

Why we use it

We process your data to deliver the courses you booked (contract), to answer your enquiries (legitimate interest), to send news when you have asked for it (consent) and to meet accounting obligations (legal obligation).

Recordings of live sessions

Live sessions are recorded so learners can watch them later. Recordings are only available to your cohort and are deleted twelve months after the cohort ends. You can keep your camera off at any time.

Who we share it with

We use carefully selected processors for video classes, payments and email, bound by data processing agreements. We never sell your data. If your employer pays for your course, we share attendance and completion only with your permission.

How long we keep it

We keep account data while your account is active and for up to three years afterwards, and invoices for ten years as required by law.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a copy of your data, object to processing and withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority.
